Florida 2010

Myah watches Thunder Mountain Railroad....she wishes she could ride!

The only time we waited in line to see the characters...could have spent the whole day waiting in lines!

Myah enjoys a little ice cream....looking at this picture it didn't matter that it was over priced!

Cinderella's castle

My three babies
the view from our balcony. Although it is beautiful, the view of the kids is better.
The boys favorite joke since Florida, What did the ocean say to the sand?
Nothing it just waved! Hahahahaha
the water was cold, but it was fun anyway!

Our bathing beauty...not too sure about the water.

But, she loves to swim!

Noah loves to swim...swimming all over the pool. He even swam when the pool was sooo cold and no one else could handle it.

Luke works on his back float.

Luke enjoys a little play time in the pool....he says it's too cold to swim!

Myah plays in the pool...she can't get enough despite the weather. In fact on our last day there we went swimming in the pouring rain...we were wet anyway!

Fun in the sand

Brothers...I love how they are holding hands.

Myah is not excited about sitting on the boardwalk ledge, the view is beautiful.

Picture taken from the balcony of our unit of the boys enjoying the ocean...it was cold!

Enjoying the view from our balcony.

Myah plays with cars...where did I go wrong?

Myah shows us that she does indeed STILL has her bellybutton!

Myah enjoys a popsicle on the balcony. What you don't see is that it is cold and raining cats and dogs....oh well a girl can enjoy the finer things in life!

Predawn on our last day...hard to leave on the nicest day of the trip!

Sunrise over the ocean

The Milwaukee airport play area...unfortunately we got to spend almost a whole day there!

Entertaining themselves as we wait for our plane...we finally ended up leaving around 9:30pm and got home around midnight. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for picking us up and getting us home safely!

Father Daughter Ball

The table decorations at the Father Daughter ball, filled to the top with candy for the Candy Land theme. Did you know that Candy Land debuted in 1940 and is still very popular today?
Myah loves her piggy bank, to her it is like a cash cow!

Myah puts her money in for about the hundreth time, we just keep taking it out and putting it back in.

Grandpa and Myah at the Father Daughter ball, he bought her a corsage, but she refused to wear it!

Daddy and Myah at the ball. I think she was the prettiest one there!

Myah shows off her cupcake...believe me she ate almost all of it!

A close up of one of the cupcakes, it was delicious and I am sure it was worth only one point!

Cupcake table...it was fuller before Myah ate them all!

Myah does a little dancing, the dance floor was packed!

Isn't she cute with her piggies?
Myah and Grace dance.
Myah dances with grandpa, I don't know who had more fun!
Myah blows a kiss at the end of the night.
The cute decorations into the dance floor.

Just a quick update, Myah had her PE tubes placed in her ears today. The doctor said her ears were full of thick fluid so she should feel so much better. She is getting more energy now and I am hoping that she will sleep through the night. We are counting down the days until Florida, 11 more to go! Looking forward to warmer weather.

All better

We started trying on clothes for Florida. Myah got so excited, she thought we were going to go swimming...she even brought me my swimming suit. She got so upset and refused to take it off! She is going to be so excited to go to Florida! Then she began pushing her baby around in the stroller she got from Jeff and Barb for Christmas. She spent about thirty minutes going around in circles pushing her baby...growing up so fast!

A big head picture just for Aunt Barb! Aren't her pig tails adorable? She definitely turned a corner today and has not needed to neb as frequently, something she thoroughly enjoys. Her tolerance of the nebulizer has gone down since she has started to feel better. It is hard to upset this little one so much and give her a treatment...but we have to keep her well!

Myah is telling you that she is going to have tubes placed in her ears on Monday, February 22. She hopes that this makes them feel all better too! She had an appointment with the ENT doc today and had her hearing tested. Unfortunately we found out that she has so much fluid that her ear drum cannot work properly and she has some hearing loss. We hope that she regain this loss after the surgery, the doctor thought she would. :) Keep Myah in your prayers. Even thought it is a quick minor surgery it is still scary to think about her having to go under anesthesia.

18 months and soo big

Myah loved getting her pictures taken. The flowers were a real treat!! She loves showing off her new skills and was constantly climbing off the couch and chair, but the photographer was unfazed and kept getting her to look adorable! I can't believe that it was already 18 months ago that we welcomed our adorable, tiny little girl and now she is running, talking, dancing and loving life. What a blessing she is! She can look at you with her big brown eyes and I swear I melt and would do anything for her.
Myah loved having a friend over yesterday, Matthew D. came and she even shared her sunglasses. Happy birthday today, Matthew, we hope you are enjoying your big 2nd birthday. We loved dancing with you, playing potato heads, playing with the doll stroller and cooking with you!
Myah has a appointment with the ENT on Tuesday, it is my hope that she will be able to get tubes in her ears before we leave for Florida in less than three weeks! She is doing better with her breathing and now tolerates the nebulizer, although she does not like it! We pray that she continues to get better and can finally get well after about 6 weeks of being sick!
Noah went to his primary doctor and was put on an antibiotic for a sinus infection. When he wakes up he has a "little" headache, but it always go away. Praise be to God as it seems as though we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. 2010 has begun with headaches, but it seems as though March will not bring headaches every day!
Luke continues to love life and playing. He is reading some books to us and amazes us with all his knowledge.
As February begins to draw to a close we look forward to our trip to Florida. We could use a little more warmth and less SNOW!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Doctors and asthma action plans

Myah hates her new nebulizer treatments and isn't afraid to let me know. No more, Mommy, PLEASE!!

Myah tries her underwear on her head...isn't she adorable? Our first attempt at pigtails. It's not perfect, but not easy with a toddler either!

Luke lost his second tooth! When did he grow up? He has a girlfriend and is very proud, although a little nervous, to announce that he has a girlfriend and has even received a kiss (on the cheek) at the dance on Friday. He is learning so many things, and cannot wait for first grade so he can go to school everyday!

Unfortunately, Myah has become a baby school drop out. She has not been well enough to play with big groups of kids, and as we worry about her immunities we don't want to expose her to so many kids all at once.
She loves talking, although we have to worry about what language she is learning, we are understanding more and more of what she says. My favorite is Please...as it draws out forever and she is sure that when she says it she should get whatever she wants....it can't be bad to do that, can it? She is my princess after all....
Noah is taking piano lessons and is quite the musician. He loves playing and is moving along rather quickly. He has headaches daily so we see the neurologist frequently as we try to sort out the best medication plan. He loves school and is learning so much...he is reading big chapter books and loves to be quizzed in math. It seems like just yesterday he was born...hopefully he doesn't grow so fast as I blink!

Today was quite a day! Myah had an appointment in Minnetonka with the asthma specialist, a much more difficult feat given the snow that keeps on falling...a forty minute trip took one and a half hours! We found out that Myah likely has asthma and has to go on nebulizer treatments and prednisone...she hates it! Yet another asthma action plan in our house...now at least they are all on the same page!

That's all for now....will have to get a picture of Noah up here very soon as he is growing up so fast! He is just always at school when I snap the pics!
