Fun at Chaos Water Park in Eau Claire, Wisconsin!

We went to the Metropolis Hotel in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Wednesday December 29-December 30. The hotel is connected to Chaos water park (indoors) and four water park passes were included in the cost of the hotel. John, the kids and I had a blast and here are some of the pictures we took. The first pictures were of just the water park so you can get an idea of what we saw. The kids want to go to another water park soon....I better rest up. This was a lot of fun, but non-stop activity!!
A view of the water slides...these two went didn't go into a pool, just had standing water in the slide at the bottom. Myah wasn't tall enough to go down these, but the boys had fun!!
These cars squirted at you as you rode on the Lazy River....to top it off the water was COLD!!

This is the view over the pool with the basketball hoops. Loved the plane hanging down from the ceiling!!

This was a little fire station with small slides that were completely dark that petrified Myah even thought she loved the big slides!
This is looking into the small kiddie area where the water is no deeper that one foot...the green and yellow water tower squirted water all the time. The kids couldn't wait to get in there!!!!
Noah squirting at something. This was a new toy we had to buy there....it cost $5, but they were well worth the money for the amount of fun they had!

More squirting.
They had a special machine to fill up their squirters....one had to be very careful there so as not to get shot in the eye with water....

Myah had a nap there the first day. She had a fever of 103, but still wanted to play. A little Tylenol and ibuprofen fixed her right up and she went right back to playing!

Luke navigates his way across the pool using the net and the lily pads in the pool.

Luke does love going across this net to the other side. I think he better watch out for that girl coming from the other side!!
Luke coming down the water slide. This water park seemed so safe. The life guards were very cautious.

Noah with his squirter. It appears he is squirting himself.

This is John's favorite picture. Noah had so much fun with this squirter...if you swim with us next year you better watch out...this squirts up to 30 feet!!

Noah coming down the water slide.

Myah and Mommy on the Lazy River. We weren't trying to avoid the camera, we were trying to avoid the cold water as it squirted at us....brrrrrr!

Luke hangs around in the Lazy River. He liked being at the water park, but he got very cold and had to come back to the hotel room to warm up.

Myah saw grandpa when he came to visit. She was so excited! She ran to him to give him a hug, but she was wet so she had to settle for a pat on the back.

Myah tells grandpa about all the great times she was having. She loved going down the slide on a tube with daddy. The water slide went outside and it was completely dark the whole way down, but she loved it anyway! She is a brave one.

Luke wants dessert...can you guess what he wants??

Luke is being silly after I was teasing him about what he wanted for dessert. He told me it started with a "C" and I started guessing celery, carrots, cauliflower....he didn't think that sounded like dessert! Isn't he so cute?? Just so you know, he wanted to have.....CANDY. I guess that does start with "C"!!

Noah came to visit with grandpa and I got this rare picture of him standing still. Poor Noah had so much trouble in this water park with his asthma. The air was very humid and it smelled like some icky chemicals. He is doing much better after only 24 hours at home!! Asthma is certainly not something to mess with!

Myah got cold with all of that time in the water park. Her poor lips were turning blue and her teeth were chattering. We went and spent a few minutes in the hot tub before we realized it said that kids under 6 are prohibited from using the hot tub...WI state law. We were very disappointed, but Luke loved the fact that he could be there!

Noah plays in this thing....he loved pushing on the water sprays to make them spray you....thankfully I got the camera out of there fast!!
Myah loved walking through the kiddie pool, going into the bigger pool, but always tried to avoid the water sprays....it is completely impossible to do without leaving the pool!
Myah loved sitting on this snake. Isn't she adorable. Even with my complete fear of snakes, I can say that I LOVE this picture!!
Go Noah Go!!!

Noah still navigates his way across the pool. It looks like he is still training to be on "Ninja Warrior" some day. As long as he has quit using my house as an obstacle course I don't care!

This is what daddy and Myah look like as they come down about a three foot slide. Myah loved going down this slide with daddy, but refused to do it on her own...after looking at this picture I can't say that I blame her!!

Daddy and Myah on the Lazy River....she loved sitting on daddy!
And it all must come to an end...all of the kids were disappointed when we had to go home, but when it got almost impossible for us all to breathe we had to leave. Myah cried most of the two hour trip home...we will go to a water park again, hopefully soon! Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa for this wonderful trip!

Minnesota Children's Museaum December 28, 2010

The Minnesota Children's Museum
December 28, 2010
We love going to the Children's museum, so much fun to be had. Unfortunately everyone else had the same idea as us as I think half of Minnesota was there!

Here is the crew we brought along. They consist of Noah 8, Alexis almost 7, Luke 6.5, Olivia 4, Myah 2, Teddy 2, Sammie 2 (pink) and Bridget 2(purple). It is amazing that we all managed to stay together and that we didn't lose any of the little ones, at least for long! We did briefly lose Bridget and Teddy during the course of the day, but by some miracle they were recovered before Mary or I had a heart attack!

Myah, Teddy (you can't really see him) Bridget and Alexis playing the drum....I think they were plotting trouble...Lord knows they can cause a lot!

Playing the drum in the Japanese Garden. Myah, Samantha and Alexis. Can you believe that we were there with 8 kids??? I bet there were thousands of people there...it was like the zoo!
Myah poses for a pictures....what do you think, does she have a future in modeling??

Daddy and Myah stand at the top of the ant hills. Myah loved climbing through the tunnels and we finally had to send Luke in there to get her out!

Luke spends some time as an ant...isn't he adorable. He has lost three teeth in about as many weeks. He was truly asking for teeth for Christmas!!

John helps the kids try to make a thunderstorm by getting all the clouds in the same spot in the sky. We had a big thunderstorm; I for one was thankful that there were no twisters!!

Myah in an anthill. She loved it in there!

Noah climbs on the rocks. He certainly has no fear and would have loved to climb to the top of the ceiling or beyond. I think he is going to give me many more gray hairs as he gets older!
Luke sends ping pong balls down in the water. I think he loved placing in the water more than he did seeing what would happen!
Noah watches the boats race down the water...undoubtedly hoping his boat will win!!

Fun at Kicks and Flips 12-27-2010

We went to Kicks and Flips for open gym time today. The kids love to hang out there and I love a little extra activity to get them tired for bedtime and a little adult conversations! Noah is learning to spin around the bar...I am sure it has a specific name, gymnastics is not my thing. He has been taking gymnastics from Kristin here for almost two months and he can now do a somersault, hand stand, cartwheel, and flip himself around the bar. He can also climb the rope almost to the ceiling. He loves it and works so hard at it. I am really proud of the work he is doing!
Luke was enjoying hanging upside down in the ball pit. He can also climb the rope, do cartwheels, handstands and somersaults. He also spins around the bar and does some vaults etc. Such a good program to have them in! Flexibility and coordination is a wonderful thing to learn!

Myah loves hanging out at Kicks and Flips too! She likes to hang on the bars, jump on the trampoline and in the balls and follow what her brothers do. Sometimes she even stays out of the way! Tomorrow we plan on the Minnesota Children's Museum! Look for more pictures then!!

Christmas Day 2010

These were the cookies we left for santa...krumkake included. Noah wrote a note to Santa saying they were "out of this world!" Santa wrote back saying yummy!!
The stockings were hung by the Chimney wih care. In hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there.
Luke loved putting together the lego things he got. Look at all that paper....still have lots more presents under the tree, but we took lots of breaks to play!

Noah got Mario Cart and a steering wheel for Wii from Santa....his whole day was spent in front of the TV, eyes glazed over, not listening, and generally good. Tomorrow we will have to start limiting some of the time spent like this...

Noah and Luke know they have to pose for pictures before they are allowed to open any gifts....they started posing in all sorts of crazy ways!

Myah got the Sleeping Beauty baby from Uncle Jeff, Aunt Barb and Cousin Brittany and the Ariel Baby from Santa. She is quite the little mommy and is carrying them around the house and even brings them both to bed. Quite the find for our little princess!

Almost from shortest to tallest. The kids with Aunt Barb and her mom Lila. Was fun to be with everyone at my mom's house on Christmas! Missed being with our other family, but lots of family to be had there!

Aunt Barb and Myah. Barb loves big heads..hope this is big enough for you!

Myah opening Uncle Jeff's presents. He was teaching her to be like Fonzie...thumbs up!

Silent night. It was a big couple of days for our princess. She didn't make it through supper before she passed out. Home to bed for her. I nearly followed right after her. It was a great day, so much fun being with family and watching the glories of Christmas from the kids eyes. Here are a few of the funnier things said or did...
Noah said (about Squinkies) "they're for girls, but don't tell Luke"
Myah spent thirty minutes removing the dresses from her princess dolls looking for the "breasts and butts"
Luke was always looking for more presents, but didn't mind playing in between. It is now supper time on the 26th and we still have quite a few presents left under the tree!
The tree's days are numbered, but the kids are disappointed about this, so for now we will keep it up!
Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas.
